FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Visual: blonde hair, blue eyes, glowing pink lines etched into a pattern on her skin - she covers up less, now, than she used to. the lines meet at a crystal on her chest, shaped something like a fat latin cross, it also glows pink, but there are green cracks like scars in it. if she has her wings out, they are shaped like flower petals and also glow pink. she prefers to wear pastel colors, floral patterns, comfy and cozy and not TOO flashy
Aural: cute anime girl
Demeanor: polite to a fault. what is she hiding under that cautious, smiling mask? what is she hiding under that projected gentle concern? she seems so quiet. she's still learning how to take up space for herself.
Magical: THE POWERS OF GOD ITSELF ARE SCREAMING INTO YOUR MIND AND THEY ARE BRIGHT AND THEY ARE POWERFUL AND THEY ARE CREATION ITSELF. light(holy)/water flavored.
BONUS INFO:
This Colette is from YWKON, which is a Tales of Symphonia + Xenoblade Chronciles 2 fusion AU, in which I took the lore from XC2 about blades and things and slapped it onto the Symphonia cast, with lots of editing, and hammering, and tweaking. Don't stress it!
Colette is an Aegis, or rather, an Artificial Aegis that humanity made to mimic the original pair of Aegises - her brother Aegis is Zelos, of course, and the originals are, well, if you know anything about Symphonia, you'll have a pretty good guess, huh? Humanity managed to pull this off quite flawlessly, and Colette genuinely is identical to a regular (YWKON flavored) Aegis in terms of strength/abilities/etc. They aren't too different from the XC2 Aegises, exactly, but. they ARE different.
Short Bio explanations: She's a blade, which requires a human to resonate with her core crystal for her to even have a physical presence in this world. (THO THAT WAS FIXED AT THE END OF YWKON1,) she's a magical being composed of ether. She lives forever and never ages. The only way to permanently harm her is to crack her core crystal; any other physical injuries will heal in about 24 hours.
Short ability explanations: She can summon wings and can fly. She can use elemental attacks; blades generally only can use one element, but YWKON Aegises can cycle through all of them, though Colette has a distinct affinity for water. Unlike blades, who have a small pool of internal ether that has a long recharge rate, and generally rely on the environmental ether to cast magic, Aegises can generate ether, endlessly, which makes them great batteries! Just don't say that kind of thing to Colette's face; it's an obviously touchy subject.
Also, she can sort of access other people's dreams, presuming of course those other people have any kind of dreaming or psychic magic themselves. Or if she lets someone drive her.
Short history: Colette, created by humanity who wanted to use her as a weapon of war, was held in their captivity for 100 years. She was no use to them as a weapon of war, actually, and hidden from the public; too dangerous to let go, but functionally useless, she was not treated with much love. And then the humans who kept her decided to fuse her core with the shards of another Aegis core they had lying around - Martel's. The procedure works, if "you now have two blades sharing one core crystal and one body" was the thing you were hoping to accomplish. (XC2-heads; they can swap like Pyra/Mythra. Whoever is fronting can shift the body's physical appearance to match, etc.)
Martel absolutely is not going to be used by humanity again, so she books it as soon as she is awake and has control of the body. Their previous driver dies, and so do they, in a field outside a little town where a boy named Lloyd Irving lives. Lloyd resonates with them, and while Martel decides to try and keep herself secret and quiet in the back of Colette's mind, Colette gets the chance of being her own person, to someone who doesn't know who or what she is, to someone who is genuinely kind to her, and cares about her, and listens to her wants and desires.
Things spiral, of course, in the ways of silly little AUs do, so Lloyd resonating with Colette becomes Lloyd-and-Colette running from the government, becomes Lloyd meeting his presumed lost father (!?), becomes rescuing Colette's brother-Aegis Zelos from the other government, becomes Martel fighting with her little brother Mithos, becomes Mithos escalating the situation into trying to wipe out humanity, becomes meeting Martel and Mithos' father, the Architect, God. And then God tells them that He cannot actually do anything, because it was the Aegises that gave him the power to create the world and the system that governs blades, so the Aegises themselves fix what was wrong.
Martel and Mithos have to stay behind to power the system in God's place, (rip god, who is now dead), and Colette is... once again alone in her own body again, though she can still speak to Martel in her dreams. She misses Martel, and she still struggles sometimes with her self-worth, but Lloyd is good to her, and her family is so good to her. With them around, she'll never, ever, be hurt again.
IC:
Affection: yippee! girl who can be SO touch starved
Violence: fine by player
Relationships: she has a boyfriend but their relationship is open and she might be sorely tempted to kiss any cute boys and/or girls.... also she is like a puppy who needs badly to be loved, it's an old habit...
Psychic/psionic: that's a super advanced computer in there! instead of a brain! keyly: is habitually and constantly reaching for the other half of a resonance loop that she is not actually in, so she will reflex respond to basically any psychic ping! is that a request for a connection? she has ALREADY approved it! uhoh!
Magical: very extremely magical, as you might have guessed.
Medical: she looks human but she is not human that is an ether (magic) construct. yes she's physical yes she interacts with the world.
Offensive subjects/triggers:
FOR HER: There's so much unpacked trauma in this psyche, and she's slowly untangling the emotional abuse - being in a cage (physical or not) is the only thing she will consciously hate; she's mildly claustrophobic, and aware of this too. Discussion of being used as a battery/weapon/The Cannons is also something that's bad times for her, even if less bad times comparatively to the other three ywkon aegises.
FROM HER: discussions about people being used as tools Will be heavy if it comes up; history of posession/being magically compelled to do things; lack and/or loss of autonomy; whatever the hell is going on with her mother is Dire, so if you need me to have her avoid talking about her highly controlling mother who she still wants to give a chance (they only interacted for about 15 minutes - again, it was Dire), give me a heads up!

Active/pace: nights (pst), weekends
Brackets/Prose: prose, but will match
Offensive subjects & triggers: physical abuse. I'm okay so long as I'm warned in advance, but I really need that warning. Also abuse is key; general violence is fine, but as soon as there's a power dynamic+repeated offense, etc, etc,

Backtagging: A-OK!
